The process of buying a modular home begins in much the same way as traditional stick built home. First is the fun of envisioning and designing the home you’ve always wanted. You can browse through our floor plans for inspiration or bring us a plan you love from somewhere else. Some builders say they offer custom floor plan by offering a few design variations on the same plan, but we will listen to your needs and create a truly custom home. Schedule a virtual or in-person appointment with us and we’ll discuss all of the exciting possibilities!
Next is when dreams get real – secure your financing and purchase a building lot.
After we’ve gotten to know you and learned what features are most important to you, we’ll develop a 2D rendering of your home design. Once you approve it, our team will get right to work building your home in a climate controlled facility. You don’t have to worry about rain or other inclement weather causing delays or damage while your home is under construction.
As your home is being built, we’ll keep you updated on its progress. You can even visit the factory to see how your new home is coming along.

Benefits of RVB Modular Homes
Modular homes are completed 30-50% quicker than stick built homes. The indoor construction process takes place alongside the site and foundation work. Because the home is built in a factory, there are also never any weather delays during the modular home construction process.
Finished modules are covered for protection, then transported to the home site. They are placed on the foundation, by crane and professionally joined and completed by River Valley Builders or your general contractor.
A modular home conforms to the building codes that are required at the specific location it will be delivered to and, in many cases, construction exceeds the required codes. A modular home is also built stronger than typical stick built homes using up to 30% more lumber.
Other Things To Know
After delivery, most home can be constructed on the job site in one day or less. It’s a very cool building process and you will amaze your neighbors!
Modular home can also be completely customized. We can customize any existing floorplan or our design team can create the perfect home from scratch.
Sometimes people us the terms modular and manufactured or mobile homes interchangeably, but a modular home and a mobile home (trailer) are definitely NOT the same thing.
